Cookie Policy

This policy covers Diyarat and applies alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal data behind these technologies, and our Terms of Use. Where this policy says "cookies", we mean cookies and equivalent technologies such as browser local storage.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, and which the browser sends back on later requests. Local storage is similar but stays on your device and is not automatically transmitted with every request. Both let a site remember things between pages and visits, for example that you are signed in or that you asked to compare two properties.

We keep this deliberately small. The current position is:

• Strictly necessary cookies. Set when you create an account or sign in, to keep your session active and secure and to protect the platform against abuse. These are required for the product to work and cannot be switched off while you use an account.
• Local storage for your choices. Your cookie choice itself, your comparison list and display preferences such as language are stored on your device so the experience stays consistent. Clearing your browser storage clears them.
• Analytics, currently server side. We measure product usage on our own servers rather than by placing an analytics cookie on your device. In practice that means no third-party analytics cookie is set when you browse Diyarat today.
• Advertising, no cross-site tracking. Sponsorships and promoted placements are measured first party and server side, by counting impressions and clicks on our own infrastructure. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

If we ever introduce client-side analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your consent first, update this page, and reflect the change in the cookie banner.

Some parts of the product are served by providers who set cookies under their own policies, which we do not control:

• Payments. When you subscribe, checkout and billing are handled on our payment provider's own hosted pages. They set the cookies needed to process the payment securely and to prevent fraud. We never see or store your full card details.
• Authentication infrastructure. Our authentication provider sets the session cookie described above on our behalf.
• Maps. Where a map is displayed, the map provider may store data on your device to cache tiles and improve performance.

Session cookies are removed when you close your browser. Sign-in cookies persist so you are not logged out on every visit, and expire or refresh on a rolling basis. Items we keep in local storage, such as your cookie choice and comparison list, remain until you clear your browser storage or change the choice.

You can use the cookie banner to accept everything or to keep only what is necessary, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which makes the banner appear again.

You can also control cookies in your browser settings, where you can block or delete them for this or any site. Browsers differ, but the controls are normally under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in and will break features that depend on your session, such as saved properties, the comparison list and your workspace.

We update this policy when the technologies we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be reflected in the cookie banner as well.
